Cooperation between Europe and Asia needs to be further developed at a time when not only China but the Asian region as a whole (India, Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia, etc.) are experiencing an intense economic development period. It is true in general and it is true in particular as far as cooperation in ICT research is concerned and many strategic opportunities of cooperation of mutual interest exist in this domain. Time has come to promote this cooperation, to facilitate networking between stakeholders namely through cooperation events, to foster synergies. All projects introduced in this portal (past or ongoing “support actions” launched by the European Commission) aim at contributing to these objectives.
